Our training philosophy prioritizes understanding and addressing your dog's state of mind over simply teaching rehearsed behaviors. Our goal is to cultivate a joyful, respectful, and well-balanced canine companion, emphasizing long-term well-being over short-lived obedience. Our Play and Train Program takes place on Monday and Wednesdays and requires a standing reservation for both days.
What to expect
During your dog’s full day of daycare they will participate in a 30-minute training session. As your dog successfully accomplishes the criteria for each level, they proudly graduate and seamlessly progress to the next stage of their training journey.
The duration for mastering the skills needed for advancement varies from dog to dog, with some taking a few weeks and others progressing more swiftly. Every dog, regardless of their current abilities, embarks on their training at Level One and gradually ascends through the program, which consists of a total of 12 levels. Our approach is tailored to be a personalized journey rather than a rigid pass/fail system. This flexibility ensures that you can renew your Play + Train package as often as desired, allowing you to customize the program according to both you and your dog's unique needs.
Pricing
Packages must be used with consecutive visits (every Monday and Wednesday until the 10 days are used up). Additional days in Daycare or Montessori may be booked throughout the week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Progress Reports
Customized Report Cards featuring at-home practice instructions go home every Monday and video updates every Wednesday showing off your dog’s new skills. All access pass to our team via phone, text, or email to answer any training questions.
*All pre-purchased packages are valid for six months from the date of purchase.
Don’t worry, we understand schedules change. If you need to make an adjustment, we offer a refund option within the first 30 days of purchase.
Please Note: This program is not suitable for dogs displaying aggression towards humans, dogs, or other animals, nor for those with extreme separation anxiety or fear.
Loose Leash Training - Group Class

In this engaging 6-week program, your canine companion will learn the art of walking gracefully by your side while fostering a stronger bond between you and your dog. We’ll guide you through effective techniques and positive reinforcement methods to teach your dog the manners of loose leash walking.

Basic Manners Training - Group Class
Embark on a delightful journey of learning and bonding with your dog.
In this comprehensive 6-week program, not only will your dog master essential commands and improve socialization skills, but you'll also gain valuable insights into understanding how dogs learn.

Puppy Training - Group Class
Nurture Your Puppy's Potential
Is your adorable furball in need of some paw-sitive guidance? Join our Puppy Class embark on a delightful journey of learning and bonding! In this engaging 6-week program, your puppy will explore basic obedience, socialization, and essential skills. Watch as your little one blossoms into a well-behaved and happy companion.
Suitable for Dogs Ages 6 months and under

You will need to fill out the registration form here and sign the required waivers. Vaccines and waivers can be uploaded through the member portal. Should you have any questions during the process please email us at info@gooddoglombard.com

All canine guests are required to be up to date on all vaccines before they visit. You’ll need the following records from your vet:
Rabies
Bordetella
Distemper
Canine Influenza H3N2 (H3N2 is required though we recommend H3N8 for more protection)
Leptospirosis
Fecal Test An intestinal parasite test must be provided every six (6) months.
Vaccination records must include the date each expires (not the date administered) and can be added to your online profile. We also require proof of vaccinations emailed to info@gooddoglombard.com for our records.

All dogs must complete a compatibility evaluation prior to being able to request services through the member portal. To schedule an evaluation, email us at info@gooddoglombard.com
Evaluations are held beginning at 11am and ending at 2pm, by appointment only Monday through Friday.
